The New York Botanical Garden, a National Historic Landmark and one of New York City`s premier cultural institutions seek a dynamic Marketing Associate with excellent marketing writing skills and strong interpersonal skills to build positive and strong internal working relationhips.
Summary of Responsibilities:
The Marketing Associate works with the Marketing Director and Manager to develop promotional partnerships and research approved marketing topics. The Associate also provides marketing copy on a daily basis.
• Drafts marketing copy for various print and digital projects
• Traffic’s all print and digital materials for approval
• Executes approved promotional partnership plans
• Process’s invoices and tracks marketing and advertising budgets
• Staffs as necessary off-site marketing/audience development events
• Coordinates the distribution of promotional materials on and off site
• Other relevant duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years Marketing or Communications experience (non-profit experience strongly preferred)
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to deal with deadlines while staying on schedule
• Ability to draft marketing copy is required and a large part of position
• Entrepreneurial, creative, well organized, computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook), knowledgeable about the print production process
• Must have flexibility to work some weekends and evenings
